A little bump

Last night Kaden and I were playing. Of course Kaden was having a great time, until he tripped and hit into the metal frame of our bed (the frame that the box springs sits on). He cried for about 1 minute, and I thought just like every other time he was totally fine. Then, I noticed his ear. Poor guy, it was so swollen, and black and blue. We went to the doctor, and everything is fine. He just has a really, really sore swollen ear.

We Love Disneyland :)

We had a great day at Disneyland yesterday. It was cooler than usual (only about 80 degrees) and the lines were so short! Perfect day! We met up with Andrea Fillmore (Ezra, 16 months) and Julie Bird (Kaylie, 14 months)

And, for those of you who have been waiting, Small World is open again :) It was fantastic!!!! You can't see the scenery behind us very well. It was amazing!

Kaden, Ezra and Kaylie playing in Mickey's car

And, we visited Mickey at his house

And, we snagged a picture with Woody as he was walking around. What a great day!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween! Last night we went to a trunk-or-treat at our church house. Kaden almost got the concept of collecting candy. He would go up, get the candy and either give the candy back to the person, or give it to me. He did however really enjoy everyone's decorations, the lights and the ones that made noise.

These are two pictures of our little bear :) More to come later. Hope everyone had a great evening.

Picture update :)

I have not put pictures on our blog for a while, so here they come :)

Cute mug shot of Kaden when he was helping me make cookies one Sunday.

Having fun at Disneyland. Mary Stettler and Carson are in the first dumbo. Sarah Dial is in the second dumbo with Avery. They came back from Colorado to visit us. We met them at Disneyland.

Kaden on the Dumbo ride.

Kaden dancing to the music at Disneyland. You can't really see how cute he was in this picture. I should have taken a video instead.

We went to Mary & Corban Stettler's for general conference. This is Kaden and Keldon on our way over there. My two favorite boys :)

Keldon and I went to the Weezer concert a couple weeks ago here in L.A. with our friends Ashlee and Michael Eav. We couldn't take our camera inside, so this is us outside with mustaches on that some random guy was handing out to advertise something. That's me 6 months pregnant going to a rock concert and wearing a mustache.....don't know if I'll ever really grow up :)

And, a fun, fun video of Kaden helping me make chocolate chip cookies on another Sunday....yes, we make them often :)

Congratulations, it's a.......

I had my doctor's appointment today and he is 95% sure that I am going to be buying all new PINK clothing :) Looks like we are having a girl. And, we are so excited!! I would have been excited about either a boy or girl...but, the more I think about it today, the more I am so excited about having a girl.

And, the other thing I'm excited about...Keldon's board test is DONE!!! He doesn't know yet what his score is, but I don't care, it's over :)

Life is great here at the Carroll household!!!

Excitement!!

I am so excited for next Monday. Keldon is really dreading next Monday. He is taking his national dental board examination. The one for which he has been studying the last 2 years, but very intensely for the last 3+ months. Next Monday is the big day. I can't wait for it to be over, and I'm sure Keldon can't wait either.

We'll let you know how it goes.......

False Alarm....

This happened when I was pregnant with Kaden too.....The doctor's kept saying, "At your next appointment we will find out what you are having...." And, then at the next appointment something would happen, and I would have to wait. So, when the doctor said at my last appointment, "Next time we'll do an ultrasound...." I decided not to get my hopes up. And, I realized that I don't think he was calculating correctly because I am only 18 weeks right now. Therefore, again, I am waiting. We will find out in 4 weeks. At that time, I will let you know :)

Kaden has an announcement :)

Kaden loves helping his daddy. This is Kaden helping his dad wash the Subaru.....and, if you can see his shirt, he has an announcement to make......

And, in case you can't see it in the video, here's another picture :)

This week we should find out if Kaden is going to have a little sister or a little brother......We'll let you know :)

Summer Roundup

We have had a crazy, busy summer. And, I don't have many pictures to prove it....sorry! I will share a few. Keldon got to come with us to Hurricane Harbor one day. He and Kaden had a great time going down slides, and playing in the water. We were so glad he was able to come with us.

At the end of July Kaden and I flew to Idaho. We went camping with my family for a week and then spent a week with my sister, Becky, in Rexburg. She had just had a baby about 1 1/2 weeks before we got there. We had a great time 'helping' her....I use 'helping' loosely because I don't feel like I helped much, but we sure had a great time playing with Taylor, Ashley and Kailey while mom took care of baby Tatum. This is a picture of Kaden at grandma's riding her little car with a pair of Blake or Ty's silly glasses on. He had such a great time.

After camping for a week with my mom's side of the family, the next weekend we went with my dad's side. However, we only stayed a few hours. Even so, Kaden was as dirty after a few hours as he was after a week. We also picked some huckleberries. Uncle Bryce gave Kaden a bush with some berries on it. He picked every single berry off the bush and ate it. He thought they were great!!

We were glad to get back home after being gone for 2 1/2 weeks. Kaden was excited to see dad. His new favorite thing is to go to the laundry baskets and take clothes and put them around his neck like a cape. This is Kaden with one of dad's T-shirts running around the house like superman! Such a cutie, and SOOOO full of energy.

Fun at the Parks

This year we have season passes to Disneyland, Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor (Six Flag's waterpark). We go to Hurricane Harbor with friends every Wednesday. Kaden has so much fun. He goes down the waterslide all by himself. It's so cute. At the end they have rubber that just stops the kids so they don't go under water (that's only about 1 foot deep anyway). He has so much fun!!!

This is Kaden and his friend Carson chasing the birds at the park. All that fun equipment to play on, and chasing the birds is definitely the favorite!! You can see the pigeon in front of Carson in the orange shorts. I guess Kaden was getting too close at one point. I looked over and he had something white in his hair. I picked him up and one of the pigeon's pooped in his hair. It was dripping down his forehead. I wish I had gotten a picture, but at the time, I just wanted to get that stuff out of his hair! We're lovin' summer!!!!

Random snippits from the last few months

One Saturday Keldon decided we should all go to a matinee. There are fountains outside the building, and 'someone' DEMANDED that we play in the water before we watched the movie....so, we stripped him down, and he had a great time ;)

It's great to live near Culver City (The Heart of Screenland) and go to the movie theatre right next door to the Sony Picture Studios and think about the fact that parts of the movie were made just down the block. A great perk of living in LA

Keldon will probably be really mad at me for sharing these pictures......oh well :) We were over at the Eav's house and Michael put this crown of Arleigh's on Kaden, and he loved it. He won't ever keep a hat on when we want him to, but whenever this crown fell off, he walked right over and wanted me to put it back on....should I be scared?

My friend Mary gave us an extra free ticket to Legoland a couple weeks ago. We went and had a great time. This is in front of the Las Vegas miniature.

Keldon had a 2 week break in April. The first week we flew to Utah and went to Moab with my family. The second week we went to Keldon's parents house. We went for a hike, and they brought their wagon for Kaden to ride in. This is not just an ordinary wagon. It has dually wheels in the back. Pretty hard core.

First, just Kaden was in the wagon......

Then, dad and Kaden were in the wagon......

In the end, we got the whole family in the wagon. Both grandpa and grandma had to pull for that one.

All in all we are doing great. Keldon is studying for his part one boards coming up at the end of August. I can't believe we are almost half way through dental school already. Kaden and Amy are going to leave for about 3 weeks to give him some time and space to really concentrate :)

Farewell to the Dials

I know it's been a while since they left. It's also been a while since I updated our blog, so it's perfect timing.

Sarah, Mary and I have been running/walking buddies for the past few months. 6am M-F; anyone is welcome to join us :)

Sarah and her family have graduated and moved on! We wish them well!

Kaden is growing up so fast!! When he was born Keldon put him inside this little red fabric bucket and then put 3-4 little bears in it. Now, he puts it on his head and walks around hitting into things and then laughing.

He is almost 17 months old (on the 17th). He is growing right up :)
