Fun at the Parks

This year we have season passes to Disneyland, Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor (Six Flag's waterpark). We go to Hurricane Harbor with friends every Wednesday. Kaden has so much fun. He goes down the waterslide all by himself. It's so cute. At the end they have rubber that just stops the kids so they don't go under water (that's only about 1 foot deep anyway). He has so much fun!!!

This is Kaden and his friend Carson chasing the birds at the park. All that fun equipment to play on, and chasing the birds is definitely the favorite!! You can see the pigeon in front of Carson in the orange shorts. I guess Kaden was getting too close at one point. I looked over and he had something white in his hair. I picked him up and one of the pigeon's pooped in his hair. It was dripping down his forehead. I wish I had gotten a picture, but at the time, I just wanted to get that stuff out of his hair! We're lovin' summer!!!!

Random snippits from the last few months

One Saturday Keldon decided we should all go to a matinee. There are fountains outside the building, and 'someone' DEMANDED that we play in the water before we watched the movie....so, we stripped him down, and he had a great time ;)

It's great to live near Culver City (The Heart of Screenland) and go to the movie theatre right next door to the Sony Picture Studios and think about the fact that parts of the movie were made just down the block. A great perk of living in LA

Keldon will probably be really mad at me for sharing these pictures......oh well :) We were over at the Eav's house and Michael put this crown of Arleigh's on Kaden, and he loved it. He won't ever keep a hat on when we want him to, but whenever this crown fell off, he walked right over and wanted me to put it back on....should I be scared?

My friend Mary gave us an extra free ticket to Legoland a couple weeks ago. We went and had a great time. This is in front of the Las Vegas miniature.

Keldon had a 2 week break in April. The first week we flew to Utah and went to Moab with my family. The second week we went to Keldon's parents house. We went for a hike, and they brought their wagon for Kaden to ride in. This is not just an ordinary wagon. It has dually wheels in the back. Pretty hard core.

First, just Kaden was in the wagon......

Then, dad and Kaden were in the wagon......

In the end, we got the whole family in the wagon. Both grandpa and grandma had to pull for that one.

All in all we are doing great. Keldon is studying for his part one boards coming up at the end of August. I can't believe we are almost half way through dental school already. Kaden and Amy are going to leave for about 3 weeks to give him some time and space to really concentrate :)

Farewell to the Dials

I know it's been a while since they left. It's also been a while since I updated our blog, so it's perfect timing.

Sarah, Mary and I have been running/walking buddies for the past few months. 6am M-F; anyone is welcome to join us :)

Sarah and her family have graduated and moved on! We wish them well!

Kaden is growing up so fast!! When he was born Keldon put him inside this little red fabric bucket and then put 3-4 little bears in it. Now, he puts it on his head and walks around hitting into things and then laughing.

He is almost 17 months old (on the 17th). He is growing right up :)

Christmas Break

We met up with Keldon's friends from high school. We haven't seen them since our "marriage retreat" in Cannonville, UT about 2 years ago. None of us had kids then....

Thanks to Greg & Stacey for getting us going on our blog :)

Kaden and Jonas had a great time playing together until "the incident" when Kaden's vampire fangs came out and got Jonas right on the cheek....sorry again Jonas!!!!

Kaden playing with his favorite cousins, Kailey and Alli, in his favorite spot at Becky's house (in Idaho), the lid drawer. They had so much fun emptying everything out of the drawer.

It's our New Year's wish to everyone!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!! We were in Idaho from December 12th-19th, and had a great time playing with grandma and grandpa G. We stayed with Becky and Travis, and Kaden loved playing with Taylor, Ashley and Kailey. It snowed before we got there, so Kaden experienced his first snow. Keldon took him out and let him touch the snow, and he just cried.

After we got home, we did laundry and left the next day for Sunnyvale, CA. Kaden had his first Christmas with Grandpa Jim, Grandma Trisch, Lexie and Hiram. He opened 2 presents, and was ready for a nap. He finished opening the rest of the presents later in the day.

We had a great time!!! We hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season.

We have had a great time this year at the USC football games. Our strategy has been for Keldon to go with his friends early and get good seats, and then Amy comes with Kaden in the baby bjorn on the front and back pack on the back......One day we had Marlene Haney (with Braden), Mary Stettler (with Carson) and me (with Kaden) all in a line walking to the game. At BYU, that would not be unusual, but at USC we got plenty of looks :)

This is the way Kaden looks most of the time at the games. He's starting the cry face now. He cries every time the crowd cheers...which is often in the student section at USC!!!
